Gulgong Pioneers Museum

The Gulgong Pioneers Museum is home to one of the finest collections of Australiana in the country. Located in the heart of historic Gulgong, the award-winning museum’s collection includes an array of domestic tools, farm equipment, horse-drawn vehicles, Aboriginal artefacts and buildings dating from Gulgong’s heyday.

Gulgong Gold Experience

Gulgong Gold Experience is located on the exact location of the first gold find in Gulgong in 1870 and includes a detailed audio and visual display of Gulgong’s gold history. There’s a replica underground mining tunnel to explore, views of the original mine shaft and   there’s an option for anyone to try gold panning!

Henry Lawson Centre

This beautifully curated collection is a repository of material related to the life and times of Henry Lawson. There are paintings, prints, books, photos and cuttings, relating not only to the author but also to many parts of the region to which he vividly refers in his stories and poems.

Holtermann Museum

The Gulgong Holtermann Museum is a contemporary museum housed within two iconic State Heritage Listed buildings and showcasing the Holtermann Collection of photographs which are UNESCO listed. The Museum has worked closely with the State Library of NSW to have this digitised collection displayed on interactive touchscreens and mounted photographs throughout the museum.

The Gulgong Markets at the Bowlo is a proud local market in Gulgong. Drop in and support our local makers and artisans. Grab a coffee from the Bowlo and stop by the RSL Sub-Branch BBQ for one of their famous Bacon & Egg or Sausage & Onion Rolls, and browse the wares from our amazing local stall holders.

The Drip

This popular site is located in the Goulburn River National Park. The walking track follows the Goulburn River to the Great Dripping Wall. Known as The Drip, this towering sandstone cliff face is adorned with weeping grasses and ferns, dripping clear spring water in the river below. A 25min drive from Gulgong.
