Weddings
We have hosted many weddings and large gatherings at our property and work closely with our guests to create a memorable experience. We suggest attending the property and discussing with us how and where you would like everything set up beforehand. We can discuss your event including numbers, pricing and different options.
Accommodation
Up to 30 people can stay on our property in seven luxurious self-contained cottages.
Ceremony Area
We have 24 ‘americana’ style white ceremony seats and a timber-stained arbour. Additionally, we can setup a stylish signing table for the bride and groom formalities. We can also provide flower baskets and champagne glasses for the ceremony. There are a few superb spots to set up your ceremony area on our property with spectacular backdrops.
Reception Area
We have wine barrels, large umbrellas and white stools to complete the country look. We also have a number of large trestle tables available with stylish tablecloths and table weights. Firepits and straw bales can be set up around the property to create that authentic rustic atmosphere for guests to gather. Additionally, a large flatbed Bedford truck is situated on the property. We have restored the flatbed tray with hardwood to allow for speeches and/or live music during events.
Catering/Celebrant/Marquee/staff and transport
We can put you in touch with a variety of local companies including party equipment hire, caterers and wedding celebrants, who have serviced functions at Owl Head Lodge before, to provide options. Through prior arrangement we can also provide Owl Head Lodge staff members to attend to taskings during your event. A local bus service is available to transport guests to their own local accommodation if required.
Our Property
Situated a 15min drive to Mudgee and a 5min drive to Gulgong, we are positioned in between Castlereagh Highway and Goolma Road, perfect for easy access. We have 25 acres of beautiful gardens and farmland paddocks. We have goats, sheep, alpacas and Highland cattle in our paddocks.
The property overlooks hundreds of acres of Cudgegong valley pristine farmland from an elevated position. There are many scenic areas around the property to have a selection of stunning photos taken.
We have a large pool with a viewing deck and BBQ area for our guests to enjoy and relax. We also have available a high-quality projector and inflatable screen for any presentations/videos you would like shared with a large group of people.
